| There's a bit of Carn Runners legend/mythology about this run. Some year in the dark and distant past the race was graced by Dennis and his dog. Well, the race was started and the dog was weaving and darting across the misty moor hampering the runners. Thence came a steep decent, the hound bolted down the slope unaware of the bog below. Splat! The dog disappeared into the depths of mud, water and bog. The sound of cheering runners sounded across the moor. The Beast of Bodmin is now a legend!
That's a taster of the run. Rugged moorland running, legends, myths and a chance of encountering the Beast should the fog decend on race day.
Some hardened runners from this club's past once ran this race in the morning then the notorious Withiel Half Marathon in the afternoon. But then we ARE talking legends!!!!
