| Time for the Carn Runners Xmas Handicap again. For those of you who are new to it, there's all you need to know about the course in the 'Xmas Handicap' Section of this site. This years race will take place on Sunday 16th December. Meet at 0845 in the Tehidy Woods car park (the one by the cafe and lake). First runner off at 0900. To enter, put your name on the list on the club noticeboard or let Chris Harper know by phone or e-mail. All you need is to be a club member. Chris will work out your handicap time. The final start sheet will be available on the last Wednesday before the race. You can then moan all you like to Chris about the handicap he's given you! 'Water off a Duck's back' springs to mind.
There will be the usual festive Sherry and Mince Pies afterwards (Chris' love of Xmas knows no bounds!) and the Presentation.
Lucy Kean won last year and holds the Shield. Pete Hillman came close to breaking Glyn's course record (for the Xmas race). The course should now be faster as the trail down West Drive through to the Coombe has been re-surfaced during the summer.
