| What a Shocker of a day! Those Turkeys that were trotting must have been more washed out than those at Bernard Matthews' place!!
Driving down to Portreath for a long run at 8am, it was like the end of the World had come. With that out of the way, time for a quick shower and i drove the Club Photographer down to Barncoose to record the wet and wild action.
With the car heater and wipers on max chat, Dave Buzza was first into view followed closely by Noel Kindon and Shaun Milford. Then a large gap to the next runners, they had literally been 'blown away'.
Paula was soon in our sights and leading the ladies race. No photo of you, Paula as you were sheltered too closely behind two strapping blokes. I'm taking it that she won as CAC pair, 'Bozzy' and 'Stally' were quite a way back.
The rain was lashing and taking photos was taking a bit of skill in co-ordinating the shutter with the cycle of the windscreen wipers. We managed to get the rest of our runners more or less.

Good to see that the harsh conditions didn't deter Chris B from wearing his Carn 'Hot Pants'!! We wound the window down to hurl a bit of support/abuse Carole Drew's way but as normal she was somewhere else (no doubt wondering where the next suitable toilet stop was!).

Good to see some of our new members getting out there and 'Showing the Vest'. Good on yer! Some good runs there.
Well Done to all of you who braved it today. Not just Carnies but to everyone who turned out and got a good soaking.
More photos - some just falling in our X-rated catagory - in photo gallery.
Merry Christmas to you all and a PB 2008!
