| As in previous years, NRR invite you to join them for long runs along the scenic Camel Trail on Sundays 27th January and 10th February.
Meet in the car park to the rear of the Borough Arms at Dunmere, near Bodmin. Both runs start at 0930.
The flat route follows the river out towards Bodmin Moor for 7 miles where you can turn and run back which will, if my maths are correct, give you 14 miles. If you want to run shorter than that just turn around earlier. If you want to go further, you can continue towards Wadebridge/Padstow for an extra out and back section. The choice is yours. Go as far and as fast/slow as you want. There's usually over 100 runners from different clubs/no clubs and of all standards.
The best bit i find is the carvery, beer and open fire back at the Borough Arms afterwards. Book before though as it's well popular.
The thing about long runs is that they always seem easier in company (unless subjected to Sarge's jokes for more than an hour!!) and with a change of scenery.
Nuff said. For more info (especially the pub phone number!) see the the NRR website.
