I think I have discovered the 'Beast of Bodmin' It had obviously escaped the moors and taken on a new identity and disguised it's self as the Truro Half. The hills seemed a whole lot steeper and in greater quantity this year.
Well it's a good job I did this race today so I can remind myself of the foolishness of starting to fast, stressing about a P.B, breathing in a non helpful pattern - wrong shorts etc........ before Eden.
As you would expect I could not do a mile by mile breakdown as of course, I cannot remember it, there's a surprize, Liz says that she can take Sandy and myself on a run, repeat it again a couple of days later and it's a new run!!!!!!!
The star of the show today was Kath Osborne from Hayle runners who gave me some much needed support round about mile seven. Kath you were ace today, many thanks. At this point Judy was well ahead. Being rather calmer by now My running was improving and I closed the gap on Judy and caught up with her. Moved ahead and round about eleven miles a joyful sight lifted my soul [it would have been even better if it had the same effect on my legs] Liz and Sandy were in sight.

Chris, she did beat her old ma in, and joy of joys I did have a P B. Well done to all the Carnies who ran this tough 'un. I'm so glad Sandy is still speaking to her 'friends' who encouraged her to go for the eight GP races this year.
Well done and thankyou to the Truro team for a well organized race, brilliant marshals and the right size tee shirt.

Carol, Sandy, Judy and Liz ~ well done girls!!!
