| Julie 'Boogie' Knights and Carol Garrett got their trainers on for a great cause at the weekend. They hit the roads from Pirate FM just after dawn on Saturday for an epic journey to St Austell.
They formed part of the fund raising team from H & A Services for a sponsored wheelie bin pull in aid of the Precious Lives Appeal to raise funds to build a childrens hospice at Porthpean near St Austell.
The sponsored pull was in conjunction with Pirate FM who were updating their progress over the airwaves as the crew passed through the many towns and villages en route.
With sore feet and heavy collection buckets, the team took an overnight stop in Truro before heading onto St Austell and finishing at the proposed site of the new 'Little Harbour' Hospice at Porthpean.
To date the team have raised in excess of £3,500.
Many thanks to the many Carnies who helped raise cash with their kind donations. Outstanding monies can be paid next Wednesday club night.
