| It was a good weekend for two Carnies who travelled east for some racing action.
Janet Ritchie went to the notoriously hard Deviock 10 miler (the only race i ever heard of someone walking DOWNHILL - Martin Eddy!). Well, it was 13 miles back then but don't let that spoil a good dit! No such problems for our girl as she won the ladies race and came 14th overall in a time of 1:17:42. A great win and good to see our girls back amongst the trophies again.
Nigel Tomlinson travelled to Devon to race in the Dartmoor Vale Half Marathon. He had a fantastic race and finished well up in the top half of the field of 355 finishers with a time of 1:49:15. Not sure whether that was a PB, but the way Nigel's been running lately you'd have to bet that it was. He must be our most prolific performer this year having completed every GP race so far as well as many other tough races whilst bringing his race times down dramatically.
Great Stuff, you two. Well Done!!!!
Whilst on the topic of racing, this Sunday coming has the Redruth 10K starting at 11am at Redruth Cricket Club. Let's have a big turnout for one of our local-ist races. The Tavy 7 on 8th November is one of the best races in the South West and always sells out. Always a good number of Carn there so check out the Events Section and get entered before it's too late!
Happy Racing.....
