| BARRY AND HIS HAREM HIT TAVY FOR 7 |

|
| Sheik Drew leads home his Harem as the Carnie 7 conquer the Tavy 7. Carol Culley reports on Sundays race as seven go mad in Devon and start the Carols early for Christmas. |
All the best laid plans of mice and men or in this case mother and daughter will sometimes take an unexpected turn.
We were just about to set off - bag safely in the car when my ever observant eyes noticed something sticking out of the boot, and to cut a long story short we ended up locked out of the car. Was I stressed, not a bit - my new life task is not to get stressed.
After a short wait for the A A man we were on our way. Liz with the map and sat nav kept us on the correct route even though I was convinced we should have taken the Bodmin exit, it is a good job she is well practiced at ignoring her mother.
Long lines at registration and the loos left a short time to change, and quick dash to the start got our first Carnie mention - the race was about to begin as we arrived at the start!!!!
Barry was the first Carnie home, Sandy, Judy and myself ran together and enjoyed the course and views, and were the first Carn ladies home taking many scalps in the last mile. Carol G, Carol D. and Diane followed. Another queue for the goody bags, the contents of which did not have any chocolate but no matter Carol D. had a supply. Second angel of the day. A good race followed by lunch in Tavistock made for a perfect day, |
