STORM FORCE DRY RUN PROVES POPULAR
The trial run of our Phoenix race, the Storm Force 10 goes well and those taking part give the thumbs up.
On Saturday morning  a respectable turn out of Carnies and friends from other clubs tried the Storm Force 10 route.

The weather behaved itself as three groups gave the new route a decent time trial and virually all agreed that particularly the finish was much better than the old route and could well give rise to some hard fought battles as runners entered the last 200 metres or so. The change at Leedstown should make it a bit safer for runners and easier for the marshals to control.

I'm sure we can expect a good field for this inaugral running and again I'm sure we can arrange another run if anyone wants to give it the once over. If so contact me, and I'll be delighted to make arrangements particularly over the Christmas holidays as we battle to burn off all that junk food we are sure to find some excuse to consume.
