It was another busy and successful race weekend for Carn Runners, with a strong group heading over to Devon to take on the popular Bideford event.
Known for its fast route, brilliant atmosphere and scenic estuary setting, Bideford always attracts a big field of runners — and this year the Carn crew certainly made their mark.
PBs and Podium Places
There were some fantastic performances across the team, including a brilliant 3rd place in age category for Dennis — another excellent result and a well-earned podium finish.
There was also double reason to celebrate for Wayne and Zoe, who both delivered superb runs to achieve new personal bests.
PBs are always special. They reflect the consistency, training and effort that go in behind the scenes, and it’s always fantastic to see that hard work pay off on race day.
A huge well done to both runners on smashing their previous bests.
A Great Day for the Carn Crew
Bideford continues to be a favourite race destination for many runners thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and supportive crowds. With plenty of encouragement around the course and ideal conditions for racing, it made for another brilliant day out.
The Carn runners represented the club brilliantly once again, with strong performances right across the field and plenty of support for each other throughout the day.

It’s been another packed weekend for Carn Runners, with members racing across multiple events and continuing to fly the club colours proudly wherever they go.
From podium places to PBs and everything in between, it’s fantastic to see so many runners out there enjoying their running and achieving their goals.
