Seven Carn Runners were back racing this week as they headed to the beautiful Boconnoc Estate for a challenging 5-mile multi-terrain race set within the stunning Cornish countryside.
Known for its rolling estate roads, woodland sections and testing terrain, the Boconnoc race always provides a fantastic evening of racing โ and this year was no different.
Representing the club were Steve P, Briana, Elena, Janet R, Peter, Dennis and Sally, with the Carn colours well represented throughout the course.
A Scenic but Challenging Course
The Boconnoc Estate offers one of the more picturesque race settings in Cornwall, but the scenery doesnโt mean the course is easy.
Multi-terrain races always bring a different kind of challenge compared to standard road events. Changes in surface, uneven sections and rolling hills require runners to stay focused and adapt throughout the race.
The five-mile route around the estate delivered exactly that, giving runners a proper test while also providing some stunning surroundings to enjoy along the way.
Strong Running Across the Team
All seven Carn runners put in fantastic performances on the evening, tackling the varied course with determination and representing the club brilliantly.
It was another great example of the strength and consistency across the club, with runners supporting one another and flying the Carn colours proudly.
Podium Success for Carn Runners
There were also some excellent results to celebrate, with three Carn runners securing age category prizes on the night:
๐
Peter โ 3rd in age category
๐
Sally โ 3rd in age category
๐
Dennis โ 2nd in age category
Podium finishes are always a fantastic achievement, especially at competitive local races where the standard is strong throughout the field.
A huge congratulations to all three runners on their well-earned category prizes.
Another Great Evening of Racing
The Boconnoc Estate race once again delivered a brilliant evening of multi-terrain running, combining a challenging course with a fantastic atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.
A huge well done to Steve P, Briana, Elena, Janet R, Peter, Dennis and Sally for representing Carn Runners so well.
And congratulations again to Peter, Sally and Dennis on their age category success ๐๐๐
