On Saturday, 3rd May 2025, Budleigh Salterton hosted the 20th anniversary of the Jurassic Coast 10K, a scenic and challenging race along the East Devon coastline. Among the 300 participants were Carn Runners’ very own Janet and Dennis, both marking significant personal milestones.
To commemorate the event’s two-decade legacy, all runners donned special edition t-shirts, setting aside their usual club colours for the day. While some may have missed the familiar Carn vests, the sea of anniversary shirts added to the festive atmosphere.
Janet achieved the remarkable distinction of being one of only six participants—affectionately dubbed the “Dinosaurs”—to have completed every single Jurassic Coast 10K since its inception. In recognition of this unwavering commitment, she was presented with a bespoke t-shirt honouring her dedication.
Dennis also had cause for celebration, proudly receiving the Male 80 trophy. His accomplishment stands as a testament to his enduring passion for running and serves as an inspiration to runners of all ages.
