Carn Runners were back racing across the border in Devon, this time taking on the stunning Jurassic Coast 10K — and what a day it turned out to be.
With perfect running weather, scenic trails and a fantastic atmosphere, it was one of those race days where everything just seemed to come together.
A Scenic Off-Road Challenge
The Jurassic Coast 10K is known for its beautiful off-road route, taking runners along sections of the iconic coastline with views that make the effort worthwhile.
Trail races like this bring a different kind of challenge compared to road running. Uneven terrain, changing surfaces and rolling sections all demand focus and strength, but they also offer a far more immersive running experience.
On a day with ideal conditions, it made for a brilliant race from start to finish.
Strong Running and a Podium Finish
Flying the Carn colours, Den put in a superb run and came away with a well-earned age category prize — a fantastic achievement and a great reward for the effort put in on the course.
Podium finishes are always something to celebrate, especially on a route that combines both physical challenge and technical terrain. It’s a brilliant result and another example of the strong performances coming from Carn Runners across a wide range of events.
A Great Day All Round
With great weather, a scenic course and strong running, the Jurassic Coast 10K delivered exactly what runners hope for on race day.
It’s always fantastic to see Carn Runners travelling to events like this and representing the club so well, and this was another great example of that.
A huge well done on a brilliant performance and a well-deserved category prize 👏💙💛
