While many were lining up for marathons this weekend, Jan had a different challenge in mind — taking on the Mallorca Bike Sportive, and delivering a seriously impressive performance.
Covering a huge 168 kilometres, this is no small feat. Long-distance cycling events like this demand endurance, pacing and mental strength, especially when tackling varied terrain and long hours in the saddle.
A Huge Effort on Two Wheels
The Mallorca sportive is known for its stunning routes and testing profile, offering riders a mix of climbs, descents and rolling sections that keep things interesting throughout.
For Jan, it wasn’t just about completing the distance — it was about improving.
And that’s exactly what happened.
Beating Last Year’s Time
In a fantastic result, Jan beat last year’s time by an impressive 22 minutes.
That kind of improvement over such a long distance is no small achievement. It shows the consistency, training and determination that’s been put in over time, and it’s always rewarding to see that progress pay off on the day.
Cross-Training at Its Best
It’s always great to see Carn Runners members taking on different challenges outside of running. Events like this not only build endurance but also support overall fitness, strength and recovery.
Whether on foot or on two wheels, the same dedication and mindset shines through.
A Brilliant Achievement
Completing 168K and improving on a previous performance is something to be seriously proud of.
Huge congratulations to Jan on a fantastic effort in Mallorca — a brilliant result and another great example of the Carn spirit 💙💛
