Carn Runners were back on the trails for the Meet Your Max 10K, one of Cornwall’s best-loved multi-terrain races and the traditional finale of the 2025/26 Cornish Multi-Terrain Race Series (MTRS).
Organised by Truro Running Club, the event starts and finishes at Truro Rugby Club, taking runners on a varied course through St Clement and Malpas. Mixing roads, woodland trails, tracks and challenging climbs, it’s a race that always provides a fitting end to the MTRS season.
A Tough Finish to the Series
Meet Your Max has earned its reputation as a race that lives up to its name. The constantly changing terrain, rolling hills and fast sections make it a true test of endurance, strength and pacing.
With the final race of the series came one last opportunity for runners to push themselves before the MTRS season came to a close.
Podium Success for Carn Runners
Carn Runners once again had plenty to celebrate, with two members finishing the series finale in style.
A huge congratulations to Sally, who continued her fantastic run of form by claiming 1st place in her age category.
There was more success for the club as Peter secured 3rd place in his age category, adding another well-earned podium finish to his growing list of achievements.
Both runners have enjoyed an excellent season, and it was fantastic to see them rewarded once again.
A Special Achievement for Steve
A special mention also goes to Steve, who achieved something very few runners can say they’ve done.

Taking on every race in the series is a huge commitment, requiring consistency, dedication and a love of multi-terrain running across all kinds of weather and conditions.
It’s a fantastic achievement and one that deserves real recognition.
A Brilliant End to Another MTRS Season
The Cornish Multi-Terrain Race Series continues to showcase some of the best off-road running Cornwall has to offer, and Meet Your Max provided another memorable finale.
Whether runners were chasing podium places, completing the full series, or simply enjoying one last race before summer, it was another brilliant evening of competition and club spirit.
