Carn Runners were on tour this weekend as Steve and Zoe headed to Buckinghamshire for the Milton Keynes Running Festival โ and they came away with a brilliant set of results and three medals each to show for it.
Taking on multiple events across the weekend, it was a packed schedule of running that tested both speed and endurance โ and they delivered from start to finish.
Zoe Smashes a 5K PB
The weekend got off to a flying start with the Rocket 5K, where Zoe produced a fantastic performance to secure a new personal best.
PBs over 5K are hard-earned, requiring sharp pacing and the ability to push right to the limit. Zoe did exactly that, setting the tone for a very successful weekend.
Marathon Relay Effort
Next up was the marathon relay, where Steve and Zoe combined efforts to take on the full marathon distance as part of a team.
Relay events bring a different kind of energy, with each runner playing their part and passing the baton on. Itโs a great mix of teamwork and racing, and after a strong start in the 5K, they carried that momentum into another solid performance.
Completing the MK Challenge
By taking on multiple events across the weekend, both runners also completed the MK Challenge, earning an additional medal to cap off their efforts.
That meant a total of three medals each โ one for the 5K, one for the marathon relay, and one for completing the challenge.
A fantastic achievement and a great reward for a full weekend of running.
A Brilliant Weekend All Round
From a 5K PB to completing multiple events and collecting medals across the weekend, it was a hugely successful trip to Milton Keynes for Steve and Zoe.
Itโs always great to see Carn Runners travelling to events like this and making the most of the experience โ racing hard, enjoying the atmosphere and representing the club with pride.
Huge well done to both for a brilliant weekend of running ๐๐๐
