The Carn Runners Swimming Division were back in action this weekend, this time at the beautiful setting of Roadford Lake. Known for its calm waters and friendly atmosphere, the event drew swimmers from across the region—and our Carnies didn’t disappoint.
Podium Performances
There were some fantastic results to celebrate:
- Janna took 1st place in her age category, delivering a brilliant performance in the water.
- Sarah secured 2nd in her age category, showing strength and consistency throughout her swim.
- Jude also earned a well-deserved 2nd place in her age category, rounding off a strong showing for Carn Runners on the podium.
These results highlight the talent and determination within our swimming group, with each swimmer putting their training to excellent use on the day.
Strong Swims All Around
It wasn’t just about the podiums, though. Steve and Ali both put in great efforts, completing their swims strongly and adding to the club’s presence and spirit at the event. Their determination in open water conditions deserves recognition, and it was fantastic to see so many Carnies supporting each other throughout the morning.
A Perfect Venue
Roadford Lake provided a stunning backdrop for the event, with wide open water, fresh air, and a friendly buzz among competitors and spectators alike. Events like these are a reminder that Carn Runners is about more than just miles on land—we’re a club that embraces challenges in all environments.
Congratulations to Janna, Sarah, Jude, Steve and Ali for representing the club so well. From age group podiums to strong swims across the board, this was another brilliant outing for the Carn Runners Swimming Division.
