Carn Runners were back out racing on familiar territory as Elena, Tony C and Nick took on the always demanding Saltash Half Marathon.
A well-known fixture on the Cornish running calendar, the Saltash Half has built a reputation for being a proper test of endurance, with a course that keeps runners working from start to finish.
A Tough Course That Demands Respect
The Saltash Half Marathon is not one you can take lightly. With rolling hills and sections that require steady pacing and strong legs, it’s a race that challenges runners both physically and mentally.
It’s the kind of course where pacing is key — go off too fast and the later miles will make you pay. But get it right, and it becomes a really rewarding race to complete.
Elena, Tony and Nick all handled the challenge well, putting in solid performances across the 13.1 miles.
Strong Running from the Team
All three runners showed great determination on the day, keeping their focus through the tougher sections and pushing through to the finish.
Events like this are never about easy miles, and completing the Saltash Half is always something to be proud of. Each runner represented the club brilliantly, flying the Carn colours and putting in strong efforts across the course.
A Reliable Favourite on the Calendar
The Saltash Half continues to be a popular event year after year, and it’s easy to see why. A challenging route, good organisation and a great race-day atmosphere all combine to make it a standout local race.
For Carn Runners, it’s always great to see members taking part and supporting these local events.
Well Done All
A big well done to Elena, Tony C and Nick for taking on the Saltash Half Marathon and delivering strong performances on a tough course.
Another great showing from the club and more Carn colours out on the course 💙💛
