It was another fantastic day of racing closer to home as a strong group of Carn Runners took on the ever-popular Falmouth Half Marathon. Known for its testing hills, coastal views and brilliant local support, it’s a race that always delivers a proper challenge — and this year was no exception.
Representing the club were Elena, Kerry, Linda, Taylor, Chris, Glynn and Rob, with Carn colours well and truly on show throughout the course.
A Tough but Rewarding Course
The Falmouth Half is never an easy one. With rolling hills and sections that really make you work, it’s a race that demands effort from start to finish. But what it gives back is just as memorable — stunning views, a fantastic atmosphere and plenty of support along the way.
From the early miles through town to the more exposed sections of the route, runners had to stay focused, pace themselves well and dig deep when it counted. It’s the kind of course that rewards determination and resilience just as much as speed.
Brilliant Performances Across the Team
All Carn runners put in strong performances on the day, tackling the course with determination and representing the club brilliantly.
There were also some standout results to celebrate:
- Kerry secured 3rd place in his age category
- Glynn achieved 2nd place in his age category
Podium finishes at an event like the Falmouth Half are always something to be proud of, especially on a course that can be as demanding as this one.
Carn Colours Flying Proudly
It was great to see such a strong group from Carn Runners lining up and racing together. Events like this are a great reminder of the strength of the club, with runners of all abilities coming together to take on the challenge and support one another.
Whether chasing podium places, aiming for personal goals or simply enjoying the race day experience, every runner played their part in making it a successful outing for the club.
A Race to Remember
The Falmouth Half Marathon continues to be a favourite on the Cornish running calendar, and it’s easy to see why. A challenging course, a great atmosphere and strong local support all combine to create a brilliant race day.
