Another Sunday, another fantastic morning of social running for Carn Runners, with members enjoying everything from relaxed local miles on the Great Flat Lode to an international run in the French sunshine.
Whether staying close to home or starting a holiday on the right foot, the Carn colours were proudly on show once again.
Great Flat Lode Social Run
Back in Cornwall, members gathered for another enjoyable Sunday Social, taking in the scenic trails of the Great Flat Lode.
With runners choosing distances between 8 and 12 miles, everyone could find a pace and distance to suit them while enjoying plenty of conversation along the way.
The Sunday Socials are about much more than building fitness. They’re a chance to catch up with friends, welcome new faces and remind ourselves that running doesn’t always have to be about racing the clock.
Sometimes the best miles are the ones shared with good company.
Flying the Carn Colours in France
Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away, Vicky was proving that holidays and running can go hand in hand.
Rather than waiting until she returned home, Vicky laced up her trainers and headed out for a run in France, proudly wearing the Carn colours while exploring somewhere new.
What better way to kick off a holiday than discovering your surroundings on foot?
Running while travelling offers a unique way to experience new places, and it’s always fantastic to see Carn Runners represented wherever our members happen to be in the world.
More Than Just Running
One of the things that makes Carn Runners so special is that our community doesn’t stop when races finish or holidays begin.
Whether it’s a social run around Cornwall, training for a goal race or enjoying a run overseas, our members continue to inspire one another and proudly represent the club wherever they go.
It’s these shared experiences that make being part of a running club about so much more than simply covering miles.
Another Brilliant Sunday
A huge well done to everyone who joined the Sunday Social on the Great Flat Lode, and a special shout-out to Vicky for flying the Carn flag all the way from France.
Here’s to many more miles, wherever they may take us! 💙💛
