Carn Runners Turn Out in Force at the Turkey Trot 🦃🏃♀️💨
The 2025 Turkey Trot brought out the best of Carn Runners — 34 strong — for one of the shortest, sharpest races in the Cornish Grand Prix Series.
Hosted by Cornwall AC, this 4-mile blast is a favourite on the calendar, known for its flat (apart from that hill!), fast course and buzzing local support. It might be over quickly, but it demands every ounce of effort — and our team delivered.
From seasoned racers to newer members, every runner gave it their all. For some, it was about chasing PBs. For others, simply showing up, moving well, and enjoying the camaraderie (and post-race burger!) made it a win.
Standout Performances
Several Carnies landed well-deserved spots on the age group podiums:
- 🥈 Steve Webb – 2nd in age group
- 🥈 Glynn – 2nd in age group
- 🥇 Tommy – 1st in age group
- 🥉 Dennis – 3rd in age group
Whether running for fitness, competition, mental wellbeing, or just to be part of the team, it was clear that every runner had their reason — and every reason was valid.
The Club Spirit
What truly stood out wasn’t just the results, but the support. Before the race, during the run, and at the finish line, Carn Runners were out in full force cheering each other on.
The Turkey Trot might be short, but its impact is huge. It’s the kind of race that unites the club — reminding us why we run, why we race, and why we belong.
Huge well done to everyone who took part, supported, volunteered, or just came along to soak in the atmosphere. You made it special.
Bring on the next Grand Prix race! 📆✨
