Weekend Socials – Reccie Runs and Coastal Challenges

It was another action-packed weekend for Carn Runners, with back-to-back social runs showcasing everything we love about club life—exploration, endurance and great company.

Saturday saw a 12K reccie run as a group headed out to test a potential new route. Dawn, Donna, Vicky, Rob, Pete Chod, and Charmaine laced up for a fun and flexible outing, taking in new paths and enjoying the chance to scout a future club run. Reccies are always a great way to mix it up—and this one showed promise!

Then on Sunday, things stepped up a gear. A strong group of five headed out on a challenging 17-mile coastal route from Carbis Bay to East Tehidy. It was a proper test of stamina with climbs, rugged sections, and a fair share of wow-worthy views—but the real story? Girl power in full force.
Dawn, Donna, Emma, Linda, and Bex absolutely smashed it, showing grit, strength, and team spirit all the way to the finish.

From trial routes to long-haul adventures, these weekend socials continue to bring people together and build serious confidence and connection. A huge well done to everyone who ran—you’re all smashing it!
