It was another brilliant weekend for Carn Runners, with plenty of miles covered, smiles shared and a little bit of adventure thrown in for good measure.

Saturday: Parkrun Crew Out in Force

Saturday morning saw a great turnout at Parkrun. Whether chasing a time, cruising round socially, or just enjoying the start to the weekend, it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces out there.

Parkrun is such a big part of the running community — free, friendly and open to all abilities — and it’s always great to see Carnies supporting local events week in, week out.

There were strong runs across the board, plenty of encouragement, and the usual post-run chats that make these mornings so enjoyable. A perfect start to the weekend.

Sunday: Long Run… With Obstacles!

If Saturday was steady and social, Sunday brought the adventure.

Our long run took us through the woods, and let’s just say conditions were… interesting! Fallen trees, muddy trails and a few unexpected route adjustments kept things lively.

But that’s what makes these runs memorable.

There’s something special about navigating woodland trails together — helping each other over obstacles, choosing the best way around fallen branches and occasionally questioning whether that path really was a path.

It wasn’t just a training run; it was teamwork in action.

More Than Just Miles

Weekends like this show exactly what Carn Runners is about:

  • Supporting each other
  • Training hard but keeping it fun
  • Adapting to whatever Cornwall throws at us
  • And always finishing with a smile

From Parkrun pavement to woodland mud, it’s all part of the journey.

If you’re thinking about joining a running club in Cornwall and want structure, variety and a welcoming group of runners of all abilities, Carn Runners offers exactly that.

Another weekend. More miles banked. And plenty more to come 💙💛
