The Webb’s latest parkrun adventure turned into an unexpected reminder that Carn Runners are becoming recognised well beyond Cornwall.
While celebrating Hobie’s 50th parkrun at Totnes parkrun, the couple had a lovely surprise before the run had even begun.
“We Know Those Shirts!”
Spotting the familiar Carn Runners colours, a local runner immediately called out:
“I recognise those! We see Janet R running in those all over Devon!”
It’s safe to say Janet’s dedication to racing across the South West has certainly not gone unnoticed!
Whether it’s road races, trail events or local races throughout Devon, Janet has become something of a familiar face, proudly representing Carn Runners wherever she goes.
A Club That Travels Well
One of the wonderful things about being part of a running club is that friendships and connections don’t stop at county borders.
Wherever Carn members race, whether in Cornwall, Devon, across the UK or even overseas, the blue and yellow vest is becoming increasingly recognisable.
It’s fantastic to know that our runners are not only representing the club but also building such a positive reputation wherever they compete.
Celebrating Hobie’s Milestone
The trip also marked a special achievement for Hobie, who completed his 50th parkrun.
Reaching 50 parkruns is a fantastic milestone and reflects many Saturday mornings of commitment, consistency and enjoyment.
It’s another brilliant achievement on what has already been an incredible year of parkrun tourism for the Webb family.
