It was a fantastic weekend social run for Carn Runners, with members heading out for a route that mixed road and woodland trails, all set against the backdrop of beautiful spring bluebells.
With the countryside in full bloom, it made for a stunning morning out โ and even better, it stayed dry throughout, which always feels like a bonus.
A Perfect Mix of Road and Trails
This social had a bit of everything. Starting out on the road before heading into woodland sections, runners were treated to a varied and enjoyable route that kept things interesting from start to finish.
The highlight for many was the stretch through the woods, where the bluebells were out in full colour, creating that classic spring scene that makes this time of year so good for running.
Itโs runs like this that remind you why getting out with the club is always worth it โ great routes, great company and a chance to enjoy the surroundings rather than just focusing on the miles.
A Warm Welcome for New Faces
It was also lovely to welcome Stephen Jones and Sonia Pollard along for the run.
For Stephen, it marked his first run in years, making it a particularly special outing. Getting back into running can feel like a big step, but joining a supportive group makes all the difference โ and it was great to have him along.
Sonia also joined the group, adding to the friendly and relaxed atmosphere that makes these social runs so enjoyable.
Social Running at Its Best
Weekend socials are at the heart of what Carn Runners is all about. No pressure, no pace targets โ just a group of runners coming together to enjoy a run, a chat and a shared experience.
With a mix of road, woodland trails, bluebells and dry weather, this one had everything.
A gorgeous run, a lovely group and great to see new faces getting involved โ a cracking way to spend the weekend ๐๐
