Carn Runners at the Bude Pirate Run
It was a day of swashbuckling fun and serious running at the Bude Pirate Run, where Pete, Sally, and Steve proudly represented Carn Runners on Cornwall’s north coast.
A Coastal Challenge
The Pirate Run is well known for its stunning scenery and tough, technical course. With miles of coast path, undulating trails, and sandy stretches, it offers everything you’d expect from a Cornish multi-terrain race — and then some. The climbs are steep, the descents are tricky, but the views are more than worth it.
Sally and Pete on the Podium
Both Sally and Pete delivered standout performances, each claiming 3rd place in their age categories. To earn a podium spot on such a challenging course is a fantastic achievement, and both showed true strength and determination from start to finish.
Strong Running from Steve
Not to be overlooked, Steve also put in a strong and consistent run, tackling the climbs and trails with grit. His efforts helped round out an excellent showing for the club, proving once again that Carn Runners are always ready to take on Cornwall’s toughest events.
A Race to Remember
The Bude Pirate Run is more than just a race — it’s an experience. From the pirate-themed atmosphere at the start line to the community support along the route, it’s a firm favourite in the Cornish running calendar and a brilliant test of endurance.
Congratulations to Pete, Sally, and Steve for completing the Bude Pirate Run, and a special well done to Sally and Pete on their age group podiums. Another great day for Carn Runners on the Cornish coast. 💛💙
