Saturday delivered sunshine, scenery and a healthy dose of hills as Dennis and Janet represented Carn Runners at the ever-popular Cornwood 10K. Set in the heart of South Devon, this race blends a peaceful rural course with warm village support, making it a must-do for anyone who loves a traditional summer road race.
The Cornwood 10K isn’t just about chasing times. It’s an experience—a celebration of community spirit, countryside views and shared miles. And this year’s edition did not disappoint. With blue skies overhead and a light breeze to take the edge off the heat, conditions were ideal for racing or simply enjoying the ride.
A Route Full of Character
The course itself is classic Devon: rolling country lanes, gentle climbs, and scenic farmland that stretches as far as the eye can see. It’s undulating but runnable, offering just enough elevation to keep things interesting without tipping into full-on hill territory.
