Enys 10k

Enys 10k

20140427_125102Having run this race in the past, Margaret suggested that Judy, Carole and I might like to give it a go as she really enjoyed it. The race is organised by the Penryn Rotary Club in aid of charity. The course starts and finishes in the grounds of the Enys Estate and Gardens near Penryn and then takes you out along the country lanes around St Gluvias and Mylor Downs. The route is very picturesque with some undulations (hills) thrown in for good measure. Despite the changeable weather we enjoyed ourselves and would agree that this is a race worth considering adding to your racing calendar. It was well marshalled and organised and we Carnies took full advantage of the lovely cafe in the grounds to enjoy a cream tea afterwards, as you can see from the picture!

Thank you to Margaret, Carole and Judy for their support and encouragement in my first race for nearly a year, following an injury.

There were 97 Finishers and results as follows;

First – Mike Birchmore NRR – 35:08
