Friday Night Run – Six Miles in Tehidy Woods
Friday evening saw another brilliant turnout from Carn Runners, with members gathering in Tehidy Woods, Camborne, for a refreshing 6-mile run to round off the week. These Friday night sessions have become a real staple of the club calendar, offering the perfect mix of steady miles, good company, and a lively atmosphere.
Winding Trails and Woodland Views
The chosen route took runners deep into the shady woodland paths of Tehidy, where twisting trails and tall trees provided a scenic backdrop to the evening. The mix of terrain kept things interesting, with softer ground underfoot giving a welcome change from the tarmac miles many tackle during the week.
Tehidy is always a favourite — peaceful, varied, and a reminder of how lucky we are to have such beautiful running spots right on our doorstep.
Steady Running
This week’s pace was steady and sociable, allowing everyone to relax into the rhythm and enjoy the chat. For many, it was the perfect way to shake off the stresses of the week and head into the weekend feeling energised.
Plenty of Laughs Along the Way
One of the things that makes these runs so special is the light-hearted atmosphere. Friday nights aren’t about racing or chasing times — they’re about enjoying the miles, sharing a laugh, and making sure no one is left behind. This week was no different, with plenty of smiles, stories, and good-natured banter keeping spirits high throughout the run.
Starting the Weekend Right
For Carn Runners, Friday evenings are about more than just fitness — they’re about community and connection. The runs bring together members of all levels, creating a space where everyone feels welcome and supported. Whether you’ve run a marathon or you’re just building up your miles, the Friday night run is a chance to be part of something positive.
A huge well done to everyone who joined us for this week’s 6-miler in Tehidy Woods. A great way to close out the week, and a reminder that the best runs are the ones shared with others.
If you haven’t joined a Friday run yet, why not come along next time? You’ll find a friendly group, a steady pace, and the perfect start to your weekend.
