Parkrun Tourism: Carn Runners Go Exploring! 🏃♀️🌍
Our Carn Runners love a local parkrun – but every so often, the call of a new course takes us on a mini running adventure. This month saw our club members hitting the road and making their mark across the UK.
🟢 Margaret – Monmouth Parkrun
Margaret headed across the border to Wales, joining the Monmouth Parkrun crew. Here’s what she had to say:
“A very warm parkrun in Monmouth this morning. Four laps around the playing field. Made very welcome by the RD and volunteers.”
With the sun out and the welcome even warmer, Margaret made light work of the grassy loops. Big thanks to the Monmouth team for the hospitality!
🔴 Laura – Glasgow Parkrun
Meanwhile, Laura faced the hills of Glasgow:
“Hot & hilly in Glasgow today. Best description of the course – up, up, up, big down x 3!!”
Tough gradients and hot weather didn’t hold her back. Laura’s effort shows true grit and a love for tackling a challenge head-on.
🟣 Donna – Bath Parkrun
And over in Bath, Donna flew the Carn flag at another scenic course. With the summer sun shining, it was the perfect backdrop for a great morning of miles.
We love seeing our runners explore new events, represent the club, and connect with other running communities. Whether it’s a flat field or a triple hill repeat, it’s always a win when you’re out there doing what you love.
Planning a bit of parkrun tourism? Don’t forget to tag Carn Runners and share your story – we’d love to feature you in the next roundup!
