Carn Runners Conquer the Serpent Trail 50K 🐍💪
Ultra success unlocked! Huge congratulations to Dawn, Donna, Laura, and Andy, who took on the mighty Serpent Trail 50K – a true test of endurance, resilience, and months of focused training.
Taking place across the stunning South Downs National Park, this race offers beauty, challenge, and hills in equal measure – and our Carnies rose to it with strength and smiles.
For Donna and Dawn, this was an especially big moment – their first ever ultra marathon. Taking on 50K of tough trails is no small feat, and they tackled it with determination and a brilliant attitude from start to finish.
For Laura and Andy, it marked their first ultra in a long while, making the finish line even sweeter:
“Always a top weekend at the Serpent Trail – volunteering, running, socialising, fangirling, cheering on friends doing great things. 50km picnic for My Andy & me, our first ultra in a long while.”
From early starts to trail grit, fuelling strategies to mental battles, every step of that 50K was earned – and it showed. Months of preparation paid off as all four crossed the finish line, proud and rightly exhausted.
This wasn’t just a race – it was a celebration of what’s possible when you commit, train hard, and support one another. Whether it was pacing together, cheering along the route, or sharing post-race stories, this weekend summed up everything we love about the running community.
👏 A massive well done to all four – Dawn, Donna, Laura, and Andy – what a phenomenal achievement!
If you’re feeling inspired, why not set yourself a new challenge? Whether it’s 5K or 50K, every runner starts somewhere – and at Carn, you won’t be doing it alone.
