Sticker 5 – Strong Club Showing and Age Category Successes
The Sticker 5 once again proved why it’s a much-loved fixture on the Cornish road running calendar, with a great mix of friendly atmosphere, challenging terrain, and top-notch organisation from the hosts at Sticker.
This year, eight Carn Runners took to the start line, all ready to take on the 5-mile course that blends fast sections with some sneaky inclines. While everyone put in a strong performance, special congratulations go to Pete and Glynn, who both claimed age category podium finishes.
Glynn – 2nd in Age Category 🥈
Glynn ran a well-paced race, holding his form over the undulating course to secure 2nd place in his age category. His consistent training and ability to manage pace on hills paid off, earning him a well-deserved silver spot.
Pete – 3rd in Age Category 🥉
Pete also impressed, taking 3rd place in his age category. Strong from the start and keeping steady in the latter miles, Pete’s run was a great example of smart racing on a course that can catch people out if they go out too hard.
A Race with Charm (and Hills)
The Sticker 5 is known for being more than just a race—it’s a community event. The course takes in scenic Cornish countryside, rolling lanes, and a few inclines that test the legs. The warm welcome from local supporters and marshals adds to the appeal, making it a race many return to year after year.
For our Carn Runners, it was another opportunity to fly the club colours, share the experience with teammates, and push for personal goals—whether that meant chasing a PB, testing race fitness, or simply enjoying the run.
Team Spirit All the Way
While the age category prizes were the headline results, every one of the eight Carnies who ran contributed to a strong club showing. Having so many members on the start line not only boosts morale but also reinforces the supportive and social side of the club.
