Carn Runners at the Treggy 7 – Podiums, PBs and a Strong Team Effort
The Treggy 7 is always a highlight of the Cornish Grand Prix calendar, and this year was no exception. Held in Launceston, the race takes runners on a challenging 7-mile course that mixes town streets with tough climbs and scenic countryside lanes. It’s a test of pacing, strength, and determination — and this weekend, seven Carn Runners rose to the occasion.
A Strong Team of Seven
With a full team lining up, Carn Runners were well represented among the 400+ competitors. From the first mile through to the finishing straight, each member gave their all, showing both individual determination and the supportive spirit that makes the club so special.
Tori’s Podium Finish
A standout performance came from Tori, who claimed 3rd place in her age group. On a course known for its hills and unforgiving gradients, this was a superb result and further proof of her excellent form this season. Her consistent training and determination paid off, earning her a well-deserved podium spot.
Tony’s PB Streak Continues
Meanwhile, Tony showed that hard work really does deliver results. He set yet another personal best, continuing his brilliant streak of improvements across this year’s races. On a course where many struggle simply to hold their pace, his ability to clock a PB speaks volumes about his progress and determination.
Every Runner Counts
While Tori and Tony’s performances grabbed headlines, the truth is that every Carn Runner on the start line played their part. From experienced racers to those tackling the Treggy 7 for the first time, the effort, encouragement, and pride in wearing the club colours shone through. Events like these highlight the strength of the club — not just in results, but in representation.
Why Treggy 7 is a Classic
Organised with care and enthusiasm by Launceston Road Runners, the Treggy 7 is famous for its challenging course, community atmosphere, and fantastic support. The route takes runners through the historic town centre before heading out into the countryside, finishing back with a tough uphill stretch that tests even the strongest legs.
It’s races like this that define the Cornish road running scene — tough but rewarding, with smiles at the finish line.
Congratulations to all seven Carn Runners who took part in the Treggy 7. From podium finishes to PBs, and from steady pacing to strong finishes, you’ve done the club proud once again.
