Carn Runners at the Truro Half Marathon

The Truro Half Marathon is always one of the tougher races on the Cornish Grand Prix calendar, with its rolling hills, winding lanes, and relentless climbs testing every runner who takes it on. This year, Carn Runners were out in force, with 11 members lining up to represent the club.

A Tough Course Conquered

The Truro course is known for its difficulty — there’s hardly a flat stretch in sight. From sharp ascents to long drags that sap the legs, it demands careful pacing and a strong mindset. Despite the challenge, every Carn Runner gave their all and put in a performance to be proud of.

Glynn’s Age Group Success

A special mention goes to Glynn, who showed both strength and determination to claim 2nd place in his age category. On a course where simply finishing is an achievement, this was a brilliant result and one that highlights his consistency and competitive edge.

Amazing Times Across the Board

From seasoned racers to those taking on the Truro Half for the first time, there were fantastic times recorded across the board. Each runner dug deep to tackle the hills, and the effort was rewarded with the pride of crossing the line after 13.1 tough Cornish miles.

Club Spirit on Show

As always, it wasn’t just about the results — it was about the support, encouragement, and shared effort. The sight of Carn Runners in their yellow and blue vests around the course and at the finish line was a reminder of the strength of the club spirit. Whether chasing PBs or simply determined to finish, the team showed exactly what it means to run as part of a club.

Congratulations to all 11 Carn Runners who took part in the Truro Half Marathon. On one of the most demanding courses in Cornwall, you delivered fantastic results and made the club proud. 💛💙
