Weekend Social – Sunshine, Coastal Views and Shared Miles
This weekend’s Carn Runners social run was a perfect reminder of why we love our club runs so much. With runners joining in at different points along the way, everyone was able to get the miles they wanted, at the pace that suited them best.
Tehidy to the Coast
The route began in the familiar setting of Tehidy Woods, before heading out towards the coastal path at Hell’s Mouth. With clear skies and the sun shining, the views along the cliffs were absolutely spectacular—Cornish running at its finest.
After soaking in the sea air and the wide-open views, the group looped back down through Coombe, before re-entering Tehidy to round off the morning. A mix of woodland shade, coastal stretches, and quiet lanes made for a route with plenty of variety.
Flexible Miles, Friendly Faces
What made this week’s run extra special was the come-and-go nature of it. Some runners joined at the start, others linked up along the way, and a few peeled off early after hitting their target distance. From shorter outings to longer miles, it was truly a run where everyone could take part on their own terms.
Sunshine and Social Spirit
The warm sunshine and relaxed pace made it as much a catch-up as a workout. With conversations flowing and smiles all round, it was a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. Runs like this remind us that the social side of the club is just as important as the training miles.
Well done to everyone who joined in today’s social run. Whether you ran a few miles or the whole loop, you made it another fantastic outing for Carn Runners. Sunshine, shared effort, and spectacular views—what more could you ask for?
