Carn Runners were flying the club colours in Holkham, Norfolk, as Jan and Sarah took on different challenges during the Outlaw Triathlon Weekend.
With events catering for athletes of all abilities, the weekend combined swimming, cycling and running in the stunning surroundings of the Holkham Estate, attracting competitors from across the country.
Both Jan and Sarah embraced the challenge and came away with fantastic achievements.
Sarah Takes on the Gravel Sprint Triathlon
Sarah lined up for the Gravel Sprint Triathlon, taking on a demanding combination of swimming, cycling and running.
Gravel events bring an extra layer of challenge, with riders tackling off-road terrain that requires skill, concentration and confidence as well as fitness.
It was another brilliant performance from Sarah, who continues to enjoy taking on new challenges and representing Carn Runners across a variety of endurance events.
Jan Conquers the Middle Distance
Meanwhile, Jan took on the Middle Distance Triathlon, an event that would test every aspect of her endurance.
The challenge included:
- ๐ 1.2-mile swim
- ๐ด 56-mile bike ride
- ๐ Half marathon to finish
Successfully completing any middle-distance triathlon is a huge achievement, demanding months of preparation and determination across three very different disciplines.
As if finishing wasn’t enough, Jan also produced an outstanding performance to claim an age category prize, rounding off a superb day of racing.
A Fantastic Weekend of Multisport
The Outlaw Triathlon Weekend is about more than just competition. It brings together athletes from all backgrounds to challenge themselves, support one another and enjoy an unforgettable weekend of endurance sport.
With great weather, fantastic organisation and a beautiful venue, it proved to be another memorable event for our Carn Runners representatives.
