Zoe and Steve flew the Carn Runners blue and yellow at the Rugby Half-Marathon in Warwickshire on Sunday 25 October 2026 — and came home with plenty to celebrate. Zoe set a brand-new personal best over the distance, while Steve finished just 26 seconds outside his own PB. Huge congratulations to them both on a cracking away-race outing. The RunThrough event page confirms the race date and its start at Hart Field in Rugby.
From town streets to country roads
This was a road half-marathon with a change of scenery from the Cornish races familiar to many Carn runners. RunThrough describes a road-closed route taking runners through Rugby’s town-centre streets, onto country roads and along sections of the former Great Central Railway. Its description also notes gentle undulations: there was more to the course than simply finding a rhythm on flat roads.
The organiser has linked the 2026 results and race photographs from its event page for anyone following the day’s racing.
Another race beyond Cornwall
Warwickshire is not the first away-race destination in the club’s coverage of Zoe and Steve. A Carn Runners report from December 2025 followed their races in Málaga, where Zoe ran the half-marathon and Steve took on the marathon. Rugby brought them onto the same half-marathon start line — and gave the club another result to cheer from beyond Cornwall.
