On Sunday, 11th May 2025, members of Carn Runners participated in the Bideford 10K, an event organised by Bideford Amateur Athletic Club to support Children’s Hospice South West. The race featured a scenic route starting and finishing near the Bideford AAC clubhouse, taking runners along the Taw and Torridge estuary between Bideford and Instow, with a return on the Tarka Trail.
The course, known for its relatively flat terrain with only two small inclines, provided an excellent opportunity for runners to achieve personal bests.
Among the standout performances:
- Dennis Burrell secured first place in his age category, demonstrating exceptional endurance and consistency.
- Gavin achieved a personal best, reflecting his dedication and training efforts.
- Sarah and Janet both enjoyed the race, with Sarah finishing with a smile, highlighting the positive spirit and camaraderie within the club.
Congratulations to all the Carn Runners who took part, representing the club with pride and enthusiasm.
