Cream and Jam debate, and a 10K – Carn Runners Hit the Otter Rail & River Race 🏃♂️🌊🍓
This weekend saw Janet, Sarah, Dennis, and Gavin heading across the Tamar to represent Carn Runners at the Otter Rail and River 10K in sunny Devon.
The route followed a scenic mix of riverside paths and old railway lines – with a few undulations and plenty of charm along the way.
And it wasn’t just about the scenery…
🏆 Huge congratulations to Dennis, who claimed 1st in his age group – a brilliant performance on a course that demanded both speed and strategy.
“Showing the Carn colours in Devon at the Otter rail and river 10k. Well done Dennis for 1st in age group. Great medal – although they have the cream and jam the wrong way!”
Yes, the finisher medal may have sparked the age-old Devon vs Cornwall cream tea debate, but nothing could overshadow a great race day and top results all round.
Well done team for flying the Carn flag across county lines – and bringing home the bling (even if the scone etiquette needs work 😄).
Who’s up for a proper Cornish cream tea after the next 10K? Jam first, always.
