Friday Group Run – Tehidy Trails and a Touch of Theatre
This week’s Friday Group run took us somewhere a little bit magical. With Dennis away, Gavin kindly stepped in to lead the session, guiding the group around the trails of Tehidy Woods for a relaxed and scenic outing.
The Friday sessions are always a highlight of the week—steady miles, a friendly atmosphere, and the chance to head into the weekend on a high. This week was no exception, but it came with an unexpected twist.
Through the Woods, Into the Theatre
Tehidy is always a favourite for its quiet woodland paths, shaded trails, and gentle mix of terrain. But as the group rounded a section of the woods, they stumbled across something out of the ordinary—the decorations and staging for Rogue Theatre’s latest immersive show.
For a few moments, the run felt more like stepping into a storybook. Colourful banners, set pieces, and theatrical touches hung among the trees, transforming the familiar paths into something new and enchanting. It added a bit of extra sparkle to an already enjoyable evening.
Steady Miles, Shared Smiles
The group kept the pace easy, using the run as a chance to chat, catch up, and enjoy the atmosphere of Tehidy. Friday runs are never about chasing times—they’re about getting together, stretching the legs, and appreciating the company of fellow runners.
With Gavin leading, the group stayed on course and finished the outing with smiles all around. Sometimes the best runs aren’t just about the route or the distance—they’re about the little surprises and the people you share them with.

As always, the Friday Group delivered on what makes Carn Runners so special: the blend of fitness, friendship, and fun. Whether it’s a planned session or a spontaneous discovery in the woods, every outing brings something new to talk about and look back on.
