Carn Runners were out in force at the An Res race this weekend, with a fantastic turnout from the club and plenty of strong performances across the field. Events like this are always a great opportunity for runners to test themselves, support each other and proudly represent the club colours, and the Carn runners certainly did exactly that.
With a good group lining up on the start line, the race had a real buzz from the beginning. Seeing so many familiar blue and yellow vests gathered together is always a great sight and a reminder of the strong running community that Carn Runners continues to build.
A Fantastic Club Presence
From the moment the race got underway, Carn runners were spread throughout the field, each tackling the course at their own pace but all sharing the same determination to run well and enjoy the event.
Races like An Res are always popular with runners across Cornwall, attracting a competitive field as well as those simply looking to challenge themselves and enjoy the atmosphere. Having a strong club presence adds to that energy, and the Carn runners once again represented the club brilliantly.
It’s always encouraging to see runners supporting one another before, during and after a race. Whether it’s a quick chat on the start line, encouragement along the course or celebrating at the finish, those small moments are part of what makes club running so enjoyable.
Podium Success for Carn Runners
Among the many great performances from Carn runners on the day, there were also some excellent results to celebrate.
A huge congratulations goes to Tommy, Kerry and Tori, who each delivered superb runs and were rewarded with age group prizes.
Taking home an age category award is always a fantastic achievement, especially at well-attended races where the competition can be strong. Their results reflect both the hard work they’ve been putting into their running and the determination they showed on race day.
These podium finishes were a proud moment for the club and a great example of the strength and depth of running within Carn Runners.
Club Spirit on Show
One of the best things about races like An Res is the chance for club members to come together and enjoy the experience as a team. Seeing runners wearing the Carn colours throughout the course is always something that brings a real sense of pride.
Whether chasing podium positions, aiming for personal goals or simply enjoying the challenge of race day, every runner contributes to that atmosphere.
Carn Runners continue to show that club spirit wherever they race, and the An Res event was another great example of that.
