Carn Runners Weekly Social Runs – Monday, Friday & Sunday
Social runs are the heart of Carn Runners — relaxed miles, familiar friendly faces, and routes that remind us why running together makes every mile easier and more enjoyable. This week delivered three brilliant sessions across Monday, Friday, and Sunday, each bringing its own atmosphere, scenery, and stories worth sharing.
Monday Social Run – Back With a Buzz
After being paused for a while due to limited numbers, we’re delighted to say that Monday runs are officially back! Thanks to Mike, who has kindly stepped up to lead the group, the session returned this week with an impressive turnout of 11 runners — one of our best Monday-night attendances in a long time.
There was a real sense of energy in the group, with a mix of regulars and returning faces making the most of the lighter pace and friendly chat. Monday runs have always served as a perfect start to the week: steady, sociable, and ideal for recovery miles or those just easing themselves back into a routine.
Huge thank you to everyone who joined in and supported its return — and of course, to Mike for keeping the session alive. With a start like this, Mondays are shaping up to be a firm fixture once again.

Friday Crew – Social Miles and Steady Smiles
Rain, shine, wind, or darkness… the Friday crew always turns up.
This week was no different, with the group heading out for their usual relaxed end-of-week miles. As always, the chat flowed, the pace stayed friendly, and the atmosphere was everything a Friday run should be — social, supportive, and full of mid-run laughter.
There’s something special about Friday nights: the perfect blend of winding down after the week and catching up with clubmates before the weekend kicks in. Whether it’s the familiar loops, the headtorch glow in the darker months, or simply the company, the Friday crew continue to show what makes Carn Runners such a strong community.

Sunday Social – Tehidy, Illogan Woods, Portreath & Coffee
Sunday brought the biggest adventure of the week as the group headed out for 6–7 miles covering some of the most scenic local spots we have: Tehidy Woods, Illogan Woods, and down towards Portreath, before looping back for a well-earned coffee.
It was the perfect mix of trails, woodland, coastal air, and chatter — the kind of route that makes Sunday socials a highlight of the Carn Runners calendar. These longer, varied runs are not just great for building strength; they’re brilliant for building connections and confidence on different terrain.
A big highlight was seeing Dawn back with the group, bringing her usual positivity and warmth. And a special thank you goes to Antony, who stepped up and led the Sunday runs while Dawn was away — keeping the weekly tradition strong.
Coffee afterwards rounded off the morning perfectly. As always, the social side is just as important as the miles.

A Week That Shows the Heart of the Club
From a revived Monday session, to the ever-reliable Friday crew, to scenic weekend miles, this week summed up everything we love about Carn Runners: community, consistency, friendship, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Whether you’re looking for gentle recovery miles, a catch-up with friends, or a scenic Sunday outing, our social runs are open to everyone — and we’d love to see even more faces join in the coming weeks. 💛💙
