Clowance Away Run – Hidden Beauty, Great Company, and Post-Run Pints
This week’s club run took us off the usual routes and into a hidden gem—the Clowance Away Run, a scenic 5.5-mile loop through Crenver Woods and the picturesque Clowance Estate. It was a refreshing change of scenery, with plenty of winding woodland paths, open views, and peaceful lanes to enjoy along the way.
We had a fantastic turnout from the club, with members of all paces coming along to enjoy the relaxed, social atmosphere. The route itself was a pleasant surprise for many—who knew such natural beauty was tucked away so close to home?
With the sun still lingering and spirits high, a good number of runners stayed after for a well-earned drink and some pub-side socialising. Plenty of smiles, stories, and relaxed catch-ups made it an evening to remember.
Runs like these are what Carn Runners is all about—community, discovery, and the joy of running in good company. Keep an eye out for the next away route—we’ve got plenty more to explore!
